How are comparison pairs ranked?
Pairs are formed between top S/A-Tier tools within each of 15 categories. Categories with real search demand — like chatbots — get a higher cap.
What happens when both tools have the same tier?
On a tie we decide in order: pricing model first (the free or freemium tool becomes the try-first pick), then the use-case tags the two do not share, then which one shipped changes more recently. Only when all three match does a page call it a toss-up.
How often are comparison pages updated?
Comparison pages update automatically when a tool changes tier or its editorial fields are refreshed. The re-evaluation pipeline runs weekly.
